A stationary unit that moves goods horizontally from plastic to wooden pallets, so the plastic pallets stay in the loop. Operated by the forklift driver.
Food processing, pharmaceutical and healthcare companies increasingly use plastic pallets. They resist bacteria and fungi, which both grow on wood, and are easy to sanitise, but they cost far more than wooden pallets. Goods therefore often have to change pallets, for hygiene and to keep the expensive pallets circulating in production.
With the KOOI® Stationary Pallet Changer, goods are moved horizontally from a plastic pallet to a wooden one. The plastic pallets stay in the loop and pallet costs come down. KOOI® products come from Meijer Handling Solutions, and e-l-m holds the exclusive rights to sell them in the Nordic territory.
The forklift driver operates the unit with a push-button remote control. The buttons must stay pressed while the goods move, so the driver has a full view of the transfer and keeps it under control at all times.
